Ansav is a free antivirus utility designed to identify, thwart and eliminate computer viruses, malware, spyware, hackers and other malicious software.

With the advent of the World Wide Web, more and more users have started to use the internet for personal and professional reasons. With this move, there arises a necessity to protect the users system from malicious threats that may infiltrate through the network.
A tool that provides protection from such threats is the Ansav +EA 2.0 Short for An’s Anti Virus, Ansav was designed primarily for systems in Indonesia and helps keep the system safe from malware, spyware, viruses, hackers and other related attacks.
Not designed for commercial use, the tool is free to download and use. Ansav +EA 2.0 is a standalone, portable utility and does not need to be installed into the system. It can operate on even remote machines. It has the provision to detect and remove more than 776 types of known viruses.
Though the tool provides a robust environment for the system to work on, the scope of the engine’s performance is limited to known viruses in Indonesia and the utility fails to perform in the case of an attack from an unknown threat. The virus definitions database is not that productive with only a few specific virus definition signatures stored in it. There is not a provision for the database to be updated automatically. Rather, the user needs to send periodic entries of the new viruses to the database.
The new version 1.9.3 has some extended features over the previous releases and fixes a bug in the panda search engine.
